David Green - Managing Director
Managing Director David Green is an admitted advocate and has a BA LLB degree obtained at the University of the Orange Free State. Green became a shareholder in PACE in September 2003, and with 15 years experience in the property industry, brings a wealth of expertise to the group.

He first became involved in the Johannesburg property arena in 1990, when he commenced duties with the property division of Old Mutual Properties and managed its investments in the Johannesburg CBD, Newtown and Industrial East Rand portfolios. He then took up office at JHI Real Estate (Pty) Limited as Asset Manager for the group and Fund Manager of the R800-million Capital and Centre City Property Funds which are listed on the JSE. Before joining PACE, David was serving as an executive director of the Marriott Property Group, heading up its Johannesburg and national Property Management organisation.

He also served as the founding member of the Rosebank Improvement District and was Chairman of this organisation for three years. Simultaneously he was also Chairman of the South African Property Unit Trust Association. It was David who implemented the closure of Cradock Avenue in Rosebank and conceptualised the construction of the Rosebank African Craft Market and the upgrade of the Rosebank mall which houses Rosebank's premier tourist attraction.

David believes the property market is transitioning and plans to turn PACE into a sophisticated property organisation with national coverage. This refocus has seen the company diversifying into property investment (through PACE Investment), property management and residential sales.

David has delivered national presentations to the Investment Analyst Society on the subject of listed property and lectured at the University of the Witwatersrand.
